When using the advanced search you can choose to specify a title or sex along with a KC to search though to help narrow your search down and pin point the set of records you may need to retrieve.
Do not use ' Pet ' or ' Call ' names in the canine Name box only try to search for Registered dogs names.
If you do not know the dogs full name but know the affix / prefix or you know a part of the name simply try that to retrieve your pedigree.
